Alpacas make amazing herd guards. One or preferably two alpaca wethers (castrated males) or non breeding females can substantially reduce stock losses from the plague of tricky foxes we seem to have in abundance. From sheep and goats to chooks and ducks, alpaca herd guards are the answer.

 

At Omaru we regularly sell out of our herd guards as soon as they come onto the market but we know lots of other breeders and are happy to both share that knowledge and provided support if you are local.
